I'm here!!!

YAY!!

I landed safely and got through immigration and customs. They asked a lot of questions though, and I thought for sure I wasn't getting through, but the guy at immigration stamped me through till March 20th, 2009. That was a HUGE blessing!!! Now I don't have to go back and get re-stamped every month. THANK YA JESUS!!

After I got through and was waiting for my ride, Andy and Laura pulled up with Shamoy, Usain, and Enoch. So refreshing to see little black babies with runny noses :) I've missed them oh so much! We then picked the grade school kids up and brought them home. Adorable. When I was checking out the kids and telling them "Hey" I found the 5 boys I would be teaching and told them I was going to be their teacher. I have NEVER seen such bigger smiles on any one's face in my life! These guys are so excited for me to teach them, and I can't wait!

I can't start teaching until Jake's House is finished. Jake's House is where the boys are living now and Andy and Laura's room is at. The construction workers are finishing up construction on my classroom and the dining room this week and I'll hopefully be able to get in there sometime next week. It's exciting that everything is falling into place!!

I'll post pictures soon.

Love you and miss you.

I'm leaving on a jet plane...

Tomorrow is the BIG moving day. I have 2 big purple bins filled with clothes and teaching supplies (and sunscreen), one carry-on with clothes, and one backpack with my computer and passport. I'm ready to go... and do... as Christ did.

Please pray that my travels go smoothly. That I get through immigration without a Visa and I don't have to claim anything in customs.

Please pray for:

Peter,

Ion,

and Ian

These are the 3 boys that I know and will be teaching them. There are 2 others that I will be teaching as well, Quest and Delroy. Pray for them as well.

I'll try and post pictures when I get a chance. It may take awhile, since the internet connection is dial-up.

Love you all!!
